The Martingale Strategy For Craps!
Players who have played at online casinos long enough
would have heard of the Martingale system. This system is
used in several games of chance and is based on the belief
that the winning round is not far away.
This system works only with even money bets and rules that
every lost bet must be doubled in the next bet until the
game is finally won.
If a player loses a pass line bet of $10, the next bet
should be a pass line bet of $20, which is double of the
previous bet and if this round is lost, the next round will
bet will be $40.
Mathematically, this system does make sense as the number has to come at some
time or the other and the player gets back the lost bets. In spite of being
mathematically perfect, the system has not proved to be very reliable.
There are several reasons for this. One is that the player needs to have a hefty
bankroll if there are several lost bets and the other is that the casinos set
table maximum limits beyond which players cannot bet. If the player does not win
even after the maximum limit is reached, all the bet money is gone, and since
the money keeps doubling, it is usually a large amount.
Although, several people continue using this system on craps and other casino
games, it hasn’t really been a hit because of the practical issues associated
with it, and not because the system does not work.
